Citizenship: Understanding basic concepts

This webinar centred around basic concepts about citizenship law and policy. The focus was primarily on Canada but comparisons were drawn to pertinent developments in the US, the UK and elsewhere to highlight recent trends in relation to acquiring and losing citizenship.

SAikenSharry Aiken is Associate Professor and Associate Dean, Faculty of Law, Queen’s University. Sharry has practiced immigration and refugee law with legal aid clinics in Toronto and in private practice. She is a former president of the Canadian Council for Refugees (1995-97) and has co-chaired CCR's Legal Affairs Committee since 1998.
