Through this Workshop, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the history and background of the issues that have led to the current crisis in Afghanistan. The session will also examine the situation that Afghan refugees are faced with in neighboring countries. The workshop will feature four resource persons. Following the presentation, participants will be invited to share their current experiences with resettlement and raise issues, comments, and concerns regarding the commitment of the Canadian Government and decide on the next actions to help mitigating the Afghan refugee crisis in and out of Canada.
Grâce à cet atelier, les participants auront l'occasion de découvrir l'histoire et le contexte des problèmes qui ont conduit à la crise actuelle en Afghanistan. La session examinera également la situation à laquelle sont confrontés les réfugiés afghans dans les pays voisins. Quatre personnes ressources participeront à l'atelier. Après la présentation, les participants seront invités à partager leurs expériences actuelles en matière de réinstallation, à soulever des questions, des commentaires et des préoccupations concernant l'engagement du gouvernement canadien et à décider des prochaines actions à entreprendre pour atténuer la crise des réfugiés afghans au Canada et hors du Canada.
