Cessation: Refugees losing their right to remain in Canada

Description

Recent changes to the law mean that people who came to Canada as refugees can more easily lose their right to remain in Canada, even if they are permanent residents. This affects both refugees who made a refugee claim here and those resettled to Canada.

This webinar will provide basic information about the legal changes, what is happening in practice and what legal strategies are being used to address this issue.

The webinar is designed in particular for those who work with people who might be affected by these changes.

Presenters will bring specific recent experience in dealing with cessation applications.
