Several CCR member organizations undertake the KAIROS Blanket Exercise as a staff team. The Blanket Exercise allows participants to learn the broad history and current realities of Indigenous Peoples’ via role play and simulation, starting prior to European colonization up to present day.

IRCOM has developed a mandatory staff workshop looking at case studies of issues and media coverage relating to Indigenous Peoples along with clips from the CBC’s 8th Fire website. It has also developed a “Pow Wow Protocol” for staff – which includes a list of Pow Wows happening during the Pow Wow season. It is updated annually.
