Whereas
- Children make up approximately as much as half of all asylum seekers in the industrialized world;
- Refugee and immigrant youth are particularly vulnerable and have a unique set of needs;
Therefore be it resolved
That the CCR:
- Continuously raise the level of awareness of the needs of immigrant and refugee youth through CCR networks and consultations;
- Advocate for the rights of immigrant and refugee youth in Canada.
