The Annual Tripartite Consultations on Resettlement (ATCR) brings together the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the governments and NGOs of resettlement countries, providing an opportunity for information-sharing and strategizing in support of resettlement.
Canada was the ATCR chair from July 2019 to June 2020, with CCR as the NGO Focal Point.
As the NGO Focal Point, the CCR coordinated the NGO Statement delivered at an ATCR virtual session, in the presence of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship of Canada.
The Refugee Statement, the second such statement delivered at the ATCR, was developed by a group of individuals with lived experience as refugees, in consultation with many people around the world.
