Videos: Youth Voices

The CCR Youth Network brings together newcomer youth from coast to coast. These videos have been created by the youth and allies who form part of the Youth Network. They highlight both the impacts and the importance of supporting newcomer youth and allies through youth-led spaces where they can voice their challenges, share ideas on how to meet them and build relationships.

"It"s very enlightening. Not only do we spread awareness but we become inspired to take action and to take part in certain programs, or even start our own programs, and to take the information and the knowledge that we learn at the YAG conference to our own cities." - Kimia, Kitchener

The 2014 Youth Action Gathering brought together over 100 youth from across the country for a 3-day conference in Toronto around issues of refugee and indigenous rights, education and immigration. Activities ranged from youth-led workshops to creative activities, presentations in a spirit of open exchange and networking.

Thank you to all the youth and partners who helped make this video and the YAG possible!
