At the CCR Spring Consultation (31 May - 2 June 2012) the working groups recommended to CCR members the following actions on issues of current concern.
Immigration and Settlement

Green Settlement Models
Send examples of green and alternative settlement models to the CCR office so they can be complied and eventually posted on the CCR website.
Overseas Protection and Sponsorship
- Arms Trade Treaties
Support Amnesty International’s call for a strong Arms Trade Treaty with rules to protect Human Rights, and call on individuals to sign the current petition before June 19th.
- Processing in Nairobi
Acknowledge the improvement in processing of sponsored refugees out of the visa post in Nairobi. (CCR to write – concerned members encouraged to write, as well.)
- Systemic Discrimination in Overseas Processing
Develop a resource to gather anecdotal evidence of systemic discrimination in the overseas process as a first step to seeking a reduction in discrimination.
