Member Services Coordinator

The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) is seeking candidates for a permanent full-time (35 hours/week) position to support member services and promote francophone participation within the CCR.

The position is designed to forward two strategic priorities of the organization: an active and engaged membership (we have 200 member organizations) and increased francophone participation.

Principal responsibilities

Working in close collaboration with other staff, the person will:

  • Support increased francophone participation within the CCR
  • Administrative tasks with regards to CCR membership
  • Participate in developing CCR communications with members
  • Recruit and retain members
  • Promote the active engagement of members within the CCR
  • Consult and engage members in the work of the CCR


  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights, social justice and anti-oppression
  • Bilingual French-English, with excellent written and spoken French in particular
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Good organizational ability and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with administrative tasks, website content management and database management systems, or ability to learn
  • Willingness to work in a small office where staff must be adaptable.
  • Familiarity with the refugee and immigrant sector.

Based at the CCR office in Montreal. Salary based on experience and according to salary scale.

The position may involve some travelling within Canada.
