Feds announce new money for 'pre-arrival' immigration services

The federal government is pledging more than $18 million to help Canadian colleges provide learning and support services to immigrants and refugees waiting to come to Canada. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Minister Ahmed Hussen made the announcement Tuesday in Ottawa, naming Colleges and Institutes of Canada (CICan) one of four national “intake service providers” for “pre-arrival” clients.
