Dear (Your Member of Parliament's Name)

I am writing to you to follow up on my telephone call requesting a meeting to discuss with you the issue of family reunification of refugees and immigrants.   Three aspects specifically are of concern to us:

These issues have been identified as priority by the Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR), a nation-wide organization representing over 180 organizations concerned about refugee and immigration issues.  Members of the CCR are currently visiting Members of Parliament in Ottawa and in their ridings to discuss these issues and hear the perspectives of MPs.

We are looking forward to an opportunity to talk to you about how these issues affect us locally and how we can move towards some solutions.

[confirm date of meeting/request for meeting depending on what was discussed in the call]

Sincerely,
