Member services coordinator

The Canadian Council for Refugees (CCR) is seeking candidates for a permanent full-time (35 hours/week) position to support member services and promote francophone participation within the CCR.

The position is designed to forward two strategic priorities of the organization: an active and engaged membership (we have 200 member organizations) and increased francophone participation. This is a new position: the person hired should be adaptable and will help to shape the role.

Principal responsibilities

  • Supporting increased francophone participation within the CCR;
  • Overseeing CCR communications with members;
  • Recruiting and retaining members;
  • Promoting the active engagement of members within the CCR;
  • Consulting and engaging members in the work of the CCR.

The person will work in close collaboration and consultation with the small CCR staff team and  members.


  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights, social justice and anti-oppression.
  • Bilingual French-English, with excellent written and spoken French in particular.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Good organizational ability and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working with website content management and database management systems, or ability to learn.
  • Willingness to work in a small office where staff must be adaptable.
  • Familiarity with the refugee and immigrant sector.

Based at the CCR office in Montreal. Reports to the Executive Director. Salary based on experience and according to salary scale.
